BALI MUSEUM

The Ethnographical Museum is the only museum one can find in Denpasar/ located on Mayor Wisnu Street next to Jagatnatha Temple. It was built m December 8 th, 1932 in which displayed various old objects in four main buldings called : Gedung Timur, Gedung Buleleng/ Gedimg Karangasem and Gedung Tabanan.
In Gedung Timur is displayed many kinds of pre-historic collections mcluding equipments of Bali’s traditional technology. In Gedung Buleleng with its typical style of North Bali architecture is displayed a lot of collections of Bali traditional handwoven materials for ritual purposes while in Gedung Karangasem is displayed various kinds of ritual preparations and equipments and m Gedung Tabanan is displayed abundant of art-products (sculptures/ paintings, jewelries, artist outfits, etc). Instead ofbeing a recreational place, Bali Museum is also an object of Scientific Study as well as exhibition venue.
Visiting Hour : 08.00 am -15.00 p.m. (except holidays).
