Japanese Cave
There are sixteen caves made by the Japanese troop on the river bank of Bubuh by the main road from. Denpasar to Semarapura direction.
The caves at the North and South tips are single caves while the
other fourteen, are connected one another by an alley. Its strategic location overviewing the flow of Bubuh river and its history as the remain of Japanese occupation time/ has made the caves interesting tourist object.
Location
It ca’n easily be reached from any where, due to its location at Banjar Koripan, Banjarangkan village, right by the main road from Denpasar to the eastern part of Bali.The caves consisted of sixteen holes with 4 meters depth,two of which are not connected with the others, one on the North end and the other one on the South end. The other fourteen caves are connected by a lane from the North to South.
The caves were made by the Japanese troop in 1941 as to hold out from the attack of the Allied Forces. This kind of cave, a single big one can be found at Suana village,Nusa Penida Island as a viewing place upon the hustle-bustle of sea traffic along Lombok straits.
