The establishment of Taman Ball Kingdom is closely related to Tirta Harum (Fragrant Holy water) at Tegal Wangi Village,Klungkung Regency.
According to the monography of Taman Ball Village, depicted from the cronicle Satria Taman Bali, it was told that Sang Hyang Subali was the brother of Sang Hyang Sekar Angsana, Sang Hyang Aji Rembat and Ida Mas Kuning. Sang Hyang Subali lived on Tohlangkir mountain (Agung mountain) while Sang Hyang Sekar Angsana resided in Gelgel, Sang Hyang Aji Jaya Rembat lived at Kentel Gumi and Ida Mas Kuning resided at Guliang, Taman Bali Village. In this relation, the Holy Highpriest, Pedanda Wawu Rauh had once ever met with Sang Hyang Subali. On the way back from Agung mountain the Highpriest was very thirsty so he went down to Melangit river to get some water. Finally he put his stick in the rock and fragrant water just came out and a beautiful girl from the broken rock. Because it is fragrant/ so the local people called it Tirta Harum (Fragrant HolyWater) every time the fragrance went over to the farm (“tegal”) and surroundings so the village was then called Tegal Wangi (Fragrant Tegal).
