Soka beach has long been known by people regarding its location by the main road Denpasar – Gilimanuk. Iseh village as a place of interest had been known before the war for independence in Indonesia (1945). A German painter named : Walter Spies lived at Iseh between 1895-1942. He built a small hut as his painting studio and here at Iseh he produced some of his best paintings.Instead of being a painter, Mr. Spies was also interested iri “gamelan” orchestras.

Padang Bai is located at Padang Village, District of Manggis, Karangasem regency, about 53 km in distance from Denpasar or about 30 km west of Amiapura, the capital town. One can reach Padang Bai through the route Denpasar Karangasem, turn to the right at the junction of Manggis village.
